This Baby Boomers synopsis of life in the 50’s to now
How has life changed since I was a child? I was posed this question by one of my children and the following is a copy of my response. It is difficult to summarize into a bite sized chunk and could write a book on this subject. How does this correlate to health for this blog? In the process over the past 50 plus years, the decline of our country and western civilization has involved the dumbing down and compromise of our health by design! This short summary if put into a Youtube video would get banned so this should tell you just how dangerous these times are. Read on.
How has life changed? Can you say night and day? The difference in life from fifty plus years ago is almost unrecognizable compared to today. I realize that the younger generations only know what they experience today and, in a way, that’s better than knowing what people my age know.
The Good Times
It is so incredibly different today that it is difficult for me to capsulize. My generation was a product of the greatest generation that my parents were in. I was taught by my father on so many subjects and I was in awe of how he and his peers went to war for our country. We grew up in a very patriotic time that was unified in its support of our nation.
Yes, there were the dissidents of the 60’s and race riots but they were allowed and the general population had discussions for solutions to any issues. Maybe we were a little naive that the government was not perfect, but in general, we had a republic by the people and for the people.
Freedom was the way of the land and my age group grew up aspiring to be like our heroes. Astronauts, scientists, athletes, musicians or maybe the president. We had heroes that were real, special and genuinely patriotic.
There was very little as far as electronic distractions before this computer craze. We created our fun and built things. Projects could take days, weeks or months to accomplish, and we embraced the process.
That was a big difference in life from today where instant gratification is demanded. I understand how the youth expect this and it’s not their fault but the side effects of this change in society has been devastating to see. It has become Idiocracy where millions of youth do not know how to do basic tasks.
I need to convey the reasons behind this more than on a superficial level so I will try to do this.
My father’s generation won the war in spite of subversive tinkering within our government leading up to WWII. Our government tweaked Japan and was complicit in our conflict with them that could possibly have been averted. Regardless, our military, was still loyal to our country and performed its mission.
Post war, our nation was at its peak and society and culture reflected this. As a baby boomer, my childhood was probably in the best era in our country’s history. Low crime, simplicity and the sky was the limit.
As a kid, we played war games, shot toy guns, played cops and robbers, cowboys and Indians but mostly it was about being future good guys and heroes. Dad’s worked 9 to 5 jobs and had weekends off. Moms stayed home. Schools taught us actual facts on subjects and could use corporal punishment on those who deserved it. Competition was encouraged and rewarded.
The Warning Signs
Looking back, General Eisenhower, maybe our last great, true patriot, announced after he left as president that we needed to be watchful for the “military industrial complex”. This fell on mostly deaf ears but coming from a military hero, we should have paid more attention.
In spite of the shortcomings of Kennedy’s, Nixon and others in the subsequent years after Eisenhower, they mainly worked for the people’s interest. History indicates that what is now acknowledged as “globalism” began a hundred years ago or longer. The Rothchild and Rockefellers among others were promoting this over a century ago. We are now in the midst of their plan and most people are oblivious!
We had Jimmy Carter as president, a one termer, in the 70’s and he was a globalist. Nothing but a disaster creating astronomical inflation, gas shortages and a weak presence in the international communities. People were still smart in general and recognized this ineptitude and voted him out. We still had free press and only 3 tv channels but the globalist movement was gaining steam and their plans were being implemented.
When Reagan became president, we had the culmination of great times in America and maybe the last. He was a great patriot and our economy boomed and he crushed Russia and broke down the communism in Germany with the fall of the wall. America was top of the food chain by far and it seemed endless.
The underlying problem was far from over as George Bush sr. was Reagan’s VP and a full fledged globalist behind the scenes. He was in the CIA and on duty when Kennedy was assassinated which many believe to have been a CIA operation. The handwriting was on the wall. After Reagan’s two terms, Bush became president for one term and announced that a new world order was the future.
Reality Hits Home
I and others could see and feel a palpable change in the direction of America. Like nearly all globalist politicians, war was the agenda of the day to cover for their crimes and cover for control and money. It had begun with the Vietnam war and continued with the Gulf War and continues to this day with other phony conflicts never intended to win anything except money for the elites and power.
By the 90’s, I recall saying to others, “what happened to the youth?” The kids became so dumb and detached that it was palpable. It was depressing to see how disinterested they were, but I figured it was a phase or maybe I was getting out of touch. We had been bombarded with electronics, video games and schools were failing. I remember being very disheartened at the trajectory of society.
The two parties had basically been taken over by globalism and they got very shrewd stacking the deck in both parties to give the appearance of choice to the voters. In reality, it no longer mattered as the presidency was simply a puppet position for the globalists.
It eventually became clear to me that it was a war against the people with all aspects of our country controlled from the media to the military. We had the gross corruption of the Clintons culminating with Obama in their mission to take down America. People continued to sleepwalk through it all.
The Present Reality
The patriotic emergence of Trump made globalists crazy, and we saw how insane this country got since 2016. They have agenda 2030 when 90 percent of the population is supposed to be gone and Trump was a major monkey wrench in their timeline. That got resolved with the outright election theft in 2020 and we are now in a war against the people.
The Federal Reserve banking system has run its course and purposely accelerated with the recent trillions of dollars spent on insanity. Since going on the fiat dollar and off the gold standard in the early 70s, our corrupt government can print and spend endless dollars that is now breaking the back of our country. There are now dozens and dozens of countries going off the USD standard and once our dollar is no longer the world currency, we collapse quickly.
One dollar around a hundred years ago is now worth one cent! This is incredible but I remember when I moved to California in the mid 70s paying $120 for rent. Groceries were maybe $25 per week and gas was less than .50 a gallon. Before I started my first business and selling sporting goods, I was able to live off $400 per month!
I missed out on the lower housing costs that jumped in the late 70s but was able to buy a brand-new condo for $80k in Orange County Ca., one of the more upscale areas in the country. I now hear young adults getting excited over home listings at $600k being a steal! Our family home in Columbus, Ohio back in the 50s sold for 5k and was nice!
Everyone could afford to live and have their own place until the late 80s pretty much. It didn’t matter if you were a dish washer or worked at McDonald’s. Minimum wage was $2.50 for a long while and you could survive on that. Now, many industries and cities have gone to $15 per hour and even that wage is difficult to get by on in many areas.
So how is life different since i was a child? Can you say, night and day? I never could have imagined that this would ever happen in my lifetime. It is truly unfathomable if you are still alive from the great generation or a baby boomer.
As of July 15th, it was discovered by some paying attention that congress has pre-approved a bill from the democrat party that they plan to pass in October putting the military in control of America! It is written that the president and military will be in control without oversight!
We know the presidency is a puppet position now so Eisenhower was prophetic warning against the prospect of an “industrial military complex” taking power! It is here! The military has mustered out most patriots and replaced them with globalists. If they pass this bill, the USA will be gone as we have known it, forever!
Summary
Dumb, lazy and stupid people in America have been created from the communist playbook using Hitler, Stalin and other’s tactics in history. A Russian historian warned in the 90’s that it takes a generation of propaganda and brain washing to accomplish a takeover and warned that America was under this siege back then. We have reached the result of this now. We are in the midst of the worst war against America ever!
I am sad to see what has happened but encouraged by some of the youth taking notice that are alive and alert. I pray for deliverance from this evil and hope that we do not suffer too much as a nation before prevailing.
Epilogue
This was my short response, but I could go into hours of details. Many readers may not be aware so I encourage you to do your own research while you can. Times are desperate now! We are losing all semblance of rights on what America was built upon. If you think that laying low and not getting involved will spare you, you are wrong!
From forced shots, censored speech, manufactured collapse of economy, food scarcity, to getting arrested for patriotism, should be enough evidence that we are under siege! Our health has been compromised with chemicals, fake vaccines, polluted water and air to make us weak and compliant. Take action and fortify your health and wellbeing to fight the coming battles for freedom!
